Tax-Free Childcare enables working parents to receive financial contributions from the government towards the cost of hiring a Nanny.
If you are eligible for Tax-Free Childcare you can receive up to £2000 per child under the age of 11 per annum, this goes up to £4000 per annum for children with disabilities until they’re 17 to help with the costs of childcare . You’ll need set up an online childcare account, then for every £8 you pay into this account the Government will pay in £2 to use towards paying your Nanny’s salary. You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as the 30 hours funded childcare if you’re eligible for both so you can hire a Nanny and use a Childminder or Nursery who accept funded hours as well.

To receive payments through this initiative your Nanny must register as a childcare provider with Ofsted and the Tax-Free Childcare scheme. We can assist your Nanny in becoming registered with Ofsted, there is an annual fee of £103 which is usually paid by you the employer as being Ofsted registered has no benefits for the Nanny themselves.
