A friendly & professional family living in the picturesque town of Newmarket is seeking a reliable, kind, organised & fun nanny/housekeeper to assist with care of their 3 adorable children aged 11, 9 & 6 yrs. old, & housekeeping duties around there spacious, modern family home. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a fresh & nutritious evening meal, collecting the children from school, assisting with any reading & homework tasks or taking them to pre-booked clubs. This incredible new opportunity is offered on a live out, sole charge, permanent basis. A safe & confident driver with their own roadworthy vehicle is mandatory. The family can provide parking at their home.

➤ Start date: Around 1st September 2025 – the family is open to a slightly later start date for the right person to work their current notice period. 

➤ Core Hours: Up to 12 guaranteed hours per week, year-round. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 2.00pm – 6.00pm (could be condensed to 9 hours per week for the right person so long as 3.00pm-6.00pm is covered in term time).

This wonderful family is willing to be flexible around a candidates current commitments so there is slight room for negotiation on days. It would be very much appreciated if the candidate could also offer some level of flexibility as the children’s after school & school holiday schedules evolve.

➤ Salary: Up to £35.00 gross per hour / this works out at £1,820 gross per month based on working the maximum of 12 hours per week. Pay will be dependent on qualifications & relevant previous experience. 

➤ Pets: None 

➤ Duties: Providing loving & consistent care for the children on a daily basis, ensuring their emotional needs are met above all else. Collecting them from school promptly at the allocated time, taking them to after school clubs / activities & overseeing any homework or reading tasks set by the school. Supervising dinnertime & following the pre-established bedtime routine until a parent takes over. Housekeeping duties will include but may not be limited to meal preparation, grocery shopping, assistance with laundry, bed changes & general cleaning/organisation around the family home.

The successful candidate will have outstanding communication skills, a ‘can do’ attitude, be fun to be around, be willing to tidy up after themselves & the children at the end of each day, & be willing to work with the parents as partners at all times. 

To be considered for this position, 

You must live and have the right to work in the UK.

You must have an enhanced DBS on the Gov. update system or be willing to apply for one immediately.

You must have a minimum of two immediately contactable previous employer references.

You must have an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to complete one at the expense of the family. 

You must have professional housekeeping experience within a private household or similar.

A minimum of 2 years previous professional experience of working with similar aged children as a nanny is essential.
