Part-Time Nanny/Housekeeper – Join a Warm & Welcoming Family in Ely this October
Location: Ely, CB6 – Beautiful cathedral city
Start: 1st October 2025 (Mid-October latest)
Hours: 20 hrs per week (guaranteed)
Salary: Up to £15 gross per hour (£1,300 gross per month)
Children: 2 delightful little ones (pre-school & primary age)

About the Family
A friendly, professional family living in picturesque Ely is looking for a kind, caring, & ultra reliable nanny/housekeeper to provide after-school/pre-school care for their two wonderful children, plus light household support. They value warmth, trust, & open communication, & they’d love to welcome someone who will truly feel part of the family.

Hours & Schedule
Term-time: Monday – Friday, 1:30pm – 5:30pm (approx. 41 weeks per year)
School holidays: Possibly a different schedule, but always at least 20 guaranteed hours per week (approx. 11 weeks per year)
Salary & Benefits

Your Role
- Prepare a fresh, nutritious evening meal
- Light housekeeping: laundry, bed changes, tidying
- School/pre-school pick-up
- Support reading & homework tasks
- Oversee free play & creative activities
- Organise fun outings & playdates during holidays
About You
- Warm, nurturing, & reliable with excellent communication skills
- Team player, working in partnership with parents
- At least 2 years’ professional childcare experience (similar ages)
- Enhanced DBS on the Gov. update service (or willing to apply)
- Paediatric First Aid (or willing to complete before October)
- UK resident with full right to work

You must have an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to complete one.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years previous professional experience of caring for children of a similar ages.
A formal childcare qualification is not essential for this position; it is more important that the Nanny is a good match personality wise.
