BRAND NEW | FULL TIME NANNY OPPORTUNITY | CAMBRIDGE, CB24 | UP TO £46,800 GPA

BRAND NEW | FULL-TIME DAILY NANNY OPPORTUNITY | TWO CHILDREN | SWAVESEY, CB24 | UP TO £20GPH

A professional and welcoming returning client based in Swavesey CB24 is seeking an experienced, nurturing and proactive Full-Time Daily Nanny to provide exceptional care for their 2 delightful children, Monday to Friday.

This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for an experienced nanny who enjoys caring for babies whilst also supporting the development, interests, and busy after-school schedule of an older child. The family are looking for someone warm, organised, energetic and adaptable who will provide attentive, high-quality care whilst becoming a trusted and valued part of their family life.

Children: The role involves caring for a delightful 8-month-old baby boy alongside an almost 8-year-old girl. Their daughter is very active and creative and particularly enjoys swimming, tennis, running, imaginative play and arts and crafts. She is currently being assessed for ADHD, so the family would particularly value someone patient, understanding and confident in recognising and supporting her individual needs.

The Role: This is a sole-charge, live-out position which will primarily focus on full-time care of the baby, alongside after-school and holiday care for their daughter. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the baby’s daily routine, development, and activities, whilst collecting and caring for their daughter after school and accompanying her to her various activities, with the baby also attending where appropriate. The family would particularly value a nanny who is proactive, engaging and confident managing two children at different developmental stages, whilst creating a calm, happy and well-structured environment for both.

Core Duties: Childcare will remain the priority throughout the day. Responsibilities will include providing attentive care for the baby, planning age-appropriate activities, supporting his development, preparing children’s meals, managing routines and naps, and ensuring his days are stimulating and enjoyable, with regular opportunities to socialise with babies of a similar age.

For their older daughter, duties will include after-school care (and some full days during school holidays), supporting her with her busy schedule and taking her to activities such as swimming, tennis and holiday clubs as required. The nanny will also be expected to encourage positive behaviour, promote independence and provide a warm and consistent presence after school.

The nanny will also undertake light child-related household duties, including tidying the children’s spaces, children’s laundry, washing up and preparing family meals where appropriate.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be warm, nurturing, proactive and highly organised, with a genuine passion for caring for children of different ages. They will be confident caring for babies and comfortable taking sole responsibility for two children when required. A patient and understanding approach is particularly important, alongside the ability to adapt to each child’s individual personality and needs. The successful candidate should be energetic enough to keep up with an active school-aged child, whilst also being calm, attentive and nurturing with a young baby.

Applicants should have professional childcare experience, ideally including experience caring for babies and school-aged children simultaneously. A Paediatric First Aid qualification and Enhanced DBS Certificate will be required, together with the right to work in the UK and recent, contactable references.

A full, clean UK driving licence is essential. The family will provide a vehicle for use whilst the nanny is on duty. The successful candidate must be comfortable driving the children to school, activities and outings as required.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week:

Monday: 10:00am–4:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am–7:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am–7:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am–7:00pm
Friday: 10:00am–4:00pm

Start Date: Ideally 1st October 2026, although the family can be flexible and would consider a later start date as their temporary nanny is able to remain in place until a permanent nanny is found.

Salary: Up to £20 gross per hour, £3,900 gross per month depending on experience and suitability.

Optional occasional travel with the family may be required. The successful candidate will also have first refusal of any paid overtime opportunities during evenings and weekends. However, this is by no means mandatory.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nanny seeking a rewarding, long-term position with a professional family who are looking for someone to become a trusted and important part of both children’s lives. The role offers genuine variety, responsibility and the opportunity to support a young baby’s early development whilst also playing an important role in their daughter’s busy and active childhood.
