Are you a reliable, nurturing & proactive nanny/housekeeper looking for a fulfilling long-term role with a kind & welcoming family? A lovely family based in a stunning countryside village near Ipswich (approx. 11.5 miles west of Ipswich centre & 13.5 miles south of Stowmarket) is looking to welcome an experienced professional into their home to support the care of their two delightful children (aged 4 and 6) & their spacious family home. 
Key Details:
Start Date: 1st September 2025 (flexible for the right candidate within the month)
Schedule: 3 set afternoons per week, year-round
Tuesdays & Wednesdays essential, plus either Thursday or Friday based on your availability
2:30 PM – 8:30 PM | 18 hours per week (some flexibility for the ideal person)
Salary: £20.00–£23.00 GPH
Up to approx. £1,794 GPM, dependent on experience, hours & qualifications
Location: Rural location, own vehicle & clean driving licence essential
Extras: Occasional overnight stays, paid as overtime (with approx. 1 weeks’ notice), 2 family cats in the home.
About the Role:
This is a varied position blending nanny & light housekeeping duties. Your priority will be the well-being & development of the children, ensuring they are cared for in a warm, engaging & structured environment.
Key duties include:
- School pick-ups and driving to/from local activities
- Preparing and serving nutritious evening meals
- Supporting evening routines: homework, bath time, bedtime
- Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
- General housekeeping support: tidying, cooking, laundry, & maintaining organised communal spaces
You will work alongside the parents in a respectful, communicative partnership, taking initiative to keep the household running smoothly.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
- Experienced in sole-charge nanny roles (minimum 3 years professional childcare, with at least 2 years nannying preferred)
- Organised, mature and self-motivated
- A safe and confident driver with your own roadworthy car
- Kind, emotionally intuitive and genuinely passionate about working with children
- A positive, flexible team player who takes pride in keeping a home neat, tidy & welcoming
Essential Requirements:
- Right to live & work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one promptly)
- Two contactable professional references
- Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete one promptly)
- Formal childcare qualification preferred, but personality fit and relevant experience are more important
