A warm, professional and internationally based family is seeking an experienced, creative and knowledgeable Part-Time Nanny to provide exceptional care for their almost 3-year-old daughter during their time in London.

This is a unique opportunity for a nanny who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys creating engaging, stimulating and meaningful experiences for young children. The family are particularly keen to find somebody who embraces a Montessori-inspired approach, encouraging curiosity, creativity and independence through thoughtfully planned activities and everyday experiences.

The initial placement will be based at the family’s home in South West London for approximately three months, providing an opportunity for both the family and nanny to establish a strong working relationship. If the arrangement proves successful, there may be an opportunity to continue working with the family when they are in Ibiza, should this be of mutual interest.

Children: The role involves caring for one almost 3-year-old girl who is curious, creative and at an exciting stage of development. Her parents are keen to find a nanny who understands young children’s developmental needs and can provide a varied and engaging routine centred around play, exploration, creativity and learning.

Following the arrival of the family’s new baby in January, the nanny will continue to be responsible solely for the older child and supporting her through the transition of becoming a big sister.

The Role: This is a live-out position with the primary focus on providing high-quality care and creating an enjoyable, stimulating routine for the family’s daughter. The successful candidate will take an active role in planning and preparing activities that encourage creativity, independence and curiosity, while supporting the child’s existing routines and interests.

The family are looking for somebody who can bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to each afternoon, whether through creative projects, outdoor exploration, imaginative play, books, sensory activities or opportunities to discover the world around her.
The nanny will ideally have a good understanding of child development and be confident adapting activities to suit the child’s interests, stage and individual personality. Assistance with preparing simple, nutritious food for the child would also be appreciated.

Core Duties: Responsibilities will include collecting and caring for the child following nursery, planning and setting up Montessori-inspired and age-appropriate activities, encouraging creative and imaginative play, supporting language and cognitive development through books and conversation, providing opportunities for outdoor exploration and physical activity, preparing simple meals and snacks, and maintaining a calm, positive and engaging afternoon routine.

The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of the child’s weekly activities, bringing creativity and initiative to the role while working closely with the parents to ensure a consistent approach.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be warm, energetic and highly engaging, with a genuine passion for early childhood and a strong understanding of child development. They will be creative, proactive and confident in planning activities rather than relying solely on the child’s existing toys and resources.

A minimum of three years’ professional childcare experience is required, together with a strong understanding of, and practical experience using, a Montessori-inspired approach.

The family are looking for someone who is adaptable, respectful and confident working within a professional household, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build a genuine connection with their daughter.

A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential, as the nanny will be expected to use their own car whilst on duty. Parking is available at the family home. The successful candidate should hold, or be willing to obtain, a full Paediatric First Aid qualification, Enhanced DBS and be able to provide at least two recent contactable references.

Hours of Work: Six days per week, 3:00pm–8:00pm, totalling approximately 30 hours per week.

London Placement: The London portion of the position is anticipated to run from mid-November 2026 until mid-February 2027.

Ibiza: Following the initial London placement, there may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to continue working with the family in Ibiza when they are based there. This would be discussed with the nanny and would be entirely dependent on both parties being happy with the initial arrangement. The nanny would not be required to travel between the UK and Ibiza with the family.

Salary: Up to £30 gross per hour / £3,900 gross per month, depending on experience, qualifications and suitability.
