✨A very welcoming and professional family living in Suffolk (CB8) is seeking a reliable, energetic and experienced nanny/housekeeper to care for their children and beautiful family home approx. 4.5 miles from central Newmarket. The role is offered on a sole charge, live out, 12 month fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. The family have three wonderful children; a 5-year-old girl who adores crafts, cycling, animals and imaginative play; a 4-year-old girl who enjoys cooking, dancing, role play and reading; and a baby boy currently aged 4 months old. This role is suited to someone creative, patient, organised and happy to occasionally work in partnership with mum (who is very lovely). A driver with their own car is essential — onsite parking provided. ✨
➤ Start date: From Feb/March 2026 (with good flexibility available for the right candidate to work their current notice period)
➤ Core hours required: 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday’s, and Wednesday’s or Thursday’s / Extended hours and flexibility on set days available.
➤ Salary: Up to £18.50 gross per hour / £1,443 gross per month depending on experience and relevant qualifications, plus overtime payments.
➤ Pets: One friendly family dog
➤ Duties include: The role involves managing daily school runs and driving the children to pre-booked activities, as well as supporting their reading, learning, and homework. You will oversee age-appropriate play through both indoor and outdoor experiences, while planning creative, fun and educational activities in line with the children’s current and future interests. Responsibilities include preparing healthy meals and ensuring the kitchen is left tidy, managing the children’s laundry, organising their clothing, and rotating toys. Light housekeeping tasks—such as unloading the dishwasher, general tidying, and laundry organisation—are required as needed and when time allows, along with occasional dog walking. Clear and consistent communication with Mum is essential to ensure a smooth and supportive home environment.
The right person will be emotionally attuned, confident caring for three young children simultaneously, and able to maintain gentle structure within a busy family home. A nurturing approach, initiative, and positivity are essential.
To be considered, you must:
✅ Live in the UK and have the right to work here
✅ Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
✅ Provide a minimum of two contactable employer references
✅ Hold (or be willing to complete) a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate
✅ Have at least 2 years of professional nannying experience with multiple young children
