BRAND NEW | PART-TIME AFTER-SCHOOL NANNY OPPORTUNITY | UP TO 3 DAYS PER WEEK | BRAMPTON, PE28 | UP TO £15GPH

A friendly and welcoming family based in Brampton, PE28, is seeking a reliable, caring and proactive Part-Time Nanny to support their two daughters, aged 9 and 6, after school.

This is a lovely permanent opportunity for someone looking for a flexible part-time role, with the family requiring 1–3 set afternoons per week. They are open to both experienced and more junior candidates and are looking for someone who will become a trusted and dependable part of their children’s weekly routine.

The Children: The family have two girls aged 9 and 6, who enjoy a range of activities and interests. They are looking for someone who is caring, dependable and fun, and who can provide a happy and relaxed environment after school.

The Role: This is a live-out, permanent position focused on providing reliable after-school care. The role will begin with collecting the children from school, followed by driving them to their various activities and commitments. Once home, the nanny will prepare dinner and support the children through their evening routine, including getting ready for bed.

Core Duties: School collections, driving to activities, preparing dinner and snacks, supporting the children’s evening and bedtime routines, organising age-appropriate activities and keeping communal areas clean and organised.

A full UK driving licence and own roadworthy vehicle are essential, as the nanny will need to drive whilst on duty. Parking is available at the family home.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be caring, reliable and responsible, with a genuine enjoyment of working with children. The family are open to candidates with different levels of experience and would be happy to consider a more junior nanny who has completed some relevant childcare training.

A nanny wishing to bring their own child to work may be considered, subject to logistics.

Days: 1–3 set afternoons per week, with the specific day’s negotiable with the family. Once agreed, the chosen days will have slight flexibility to be swapped occasionally with the candidate giving adequate notice of the requested change.

Hours: 9-15 hours per week, term time only or year-round. A minimum of 3.00pm to 6.00pm, although a 7.00pm or 8.00pm finish could be negotiated if the successful candidate wanted more guaranteed hours.

If working year-round school holiday hours could be condensed into 1-2 days per week rather than afternoon shifts.

The family would also ideally like someone who is available for additional ad hoc childcare and babysitting when required with plenty of notice given.

Start Date: As soon as possible, with some flexibility for the right candidate.

Salary: Up to £15 gross per hour / £11,700 gross per annum working 15 hours per week, year-round. Depending on experience and relevant childcare qualifications.

Pets: 1 cat.
