A professional and welcoming family based in Woking, Surrey are seeking an exceptional, nurturing and highly reliable part-time nanny to provide dedicated care for their baby, within a calm, organised and well-run home environment.
This is a lovely opportunity for a career nanny with a genuine passion for early years development, who takes a thoughtful, child-led approach and is confident supporting key developmental stages during infancy.
The family are looking for someone who is discreet, proactive and naturally attuned, with the ability to work independently and integrate seamlessly into family life while maintaining a high standard of care.
The Children
- Baby, 8 months
A content, curious and increasingly active baby who enjoys music, sensory play and interactive engagement. They are beginning to crawl, and explore their surroundings, and would benefit from a nanny who understands developmental milestones and can support their progression through these important stages. - An older sibling (almost 4 years old), currently in full-time nursery and due to start school in September. At that stage, the role will naturally extend to include structured after-school care, holiday care, and support with daily routines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering attentive, high-quality care tailored to the baby’s individual routine and development
- Supporting feeding, sleep structure and daily rhythms
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, engaging activities
- Encouraging mobility, exploration and early learning through play
- Managing all nursery duties to a high standard
- Preparing bottles, meals and maintaining a clean, organised child-focused environment
- From September 2026 school collection and after-school/school holiday care for the eldest child
The role would suit a nanny who is calm, intuitive and highly engaged, with a natural ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Working Hours
The family are flexible for the right candidate, with a preference for:
- 2 days per week
- 8:30am – 5:30pm
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A warm, calm and emotionally intelligent approach
- Strong experience caring for babies within private households
- A genuine interest in early years development and child-led care
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, discreet and professional manner
- Confidence working independently while maintaining clear communication with parents
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of two excellent, checkable references
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Confident and safe driver with own vehicle available for work use
- Ofsted registration, or willingness to register

Salary – Up to £21 gross per hour, depending on experience and suitability

A small number of settling-in days during May / June would be highly valued to ensure a smooth and confident transition.

You must have an enhanced DBS on the Gov. update system or be willing to apply for one immediately.
You must have a minimum of two immediately contactable previous employer references.
You must have an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to complete one.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years previous professional experience of caring for children of a similar ages.
A formal childcare qualification is not essential for this position; it is more important that the Nanny is a good match personality wise.
