TERM TIME ONLY | MONDAY & FRIDAY NANNY / HOUSEKEEPER OPPORTUNITY | LITTLE WILBRAHAM, CB21 | UP TO £18GPH

A warm and professional family based in Little Wilbraham, between Cambridge and Newmarket, is seeking a reliable, nurturing and proactive Part-Time, Term Time Only Nanny / Housekeeper to join their family two days per week.

This is a lovely permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining childcare with practical household support and would value becoming a trusted member of a busy family home.

The Children: The family have three children aged 15 months, 4 and 9 years. The youngest is the main focus of the role during the morning and early afternoon, before the older children return from school.

The Role: This is a live-out position with sole-charge responsibility. Mum occasionally works from home but is keen to establish clear boundaries from the outset.

The mornings will centre around caring for the youngest child, with plenty of age-appropriate play, outings and activities. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to take them to local toddler groups, and arrange play dates with children of a similar age.

The afternoon will transition to caring for all three children, including school collections, preparing and supervising meals, homework and reading, and organising enjoyable activities at home. The family are particularly keen to find someone who is firm but fair, nurturing and confident in caring for three young children simultaneously.

The family would also appreciate someone who is happy to muck in and provide practical support around the children, including keeping their areas clean and organised and taking the family dog for a walk as part of the daily routine.

Core Duties: Childcare, age-appropriate play and activities, local outings and classes, school collections, preparing meals and snacks, supervising homework and reading, children’s laundry and tidying, and supporting the family with the smooth running of the children’s routine and family home.

A full UK driving licence and own roadworthy vehicle are essential, as the nanny will need to drive whilst on duty. Parking is available at the family home.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be warm and dependable with a genuine enjoyment of caring for young children. They should be able to work independently, manage three children with confidence and bring a calm, consistent approach to the household.

Previous professional childcare experience is preferred, although the family are open to candidates from a range of relevant childcare backgrounds. A nanny wishing to bring their own child to work may be considered, subject to logistics.

Days: Monday & Friday, term time only (approximately 38 weeks per year). These days are fixed and not negotiable.

Hours: 7:30am–5:30pm, 20 hours per week. A 9:30am start may be considered for the right candidate, reducing the hours to 16 per week.

Start Date: Flexible.

Salary: Up to £18 gross per hour, depending on experience and relevant qualifications.

Pets: 1 cat and 1 dog.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nanny seeking a rewarding, long-term part-time position with a welcoming family who value reliability, initiative and a positive approach to family life.
